IMPORTANT FIXTURE UPDATE
05 September 2006 - Wolverhampton Speedway

WOLVERHAMPTON are facing a hectic schedule between now and the end of October.

Club owner Chris Van Straaten has been working hard on the fixtures for the remainder of the season.

He refuses to pencil anything in for Monday September 25 as long as his side still have a mathematical chance of reaching the play-offs - and before the end of the campaign fans can expect the British Under-18 Championship, a Midland Trophy clash with Coventry and the Banks''s Olympique which has a definate date of October 16.

Away from home, Wolverhampton have agreed to go to Coventry on Tuesday September 19 and their trip to Poole now goes ahead the following night - instead of September 14 as originally planned.

Further fixture information will be announced by the club when the play-off picture is clarified mathematically.

ADAMS: ''RESULT WAS DAMAGING''
PETER Adams has admitted Coventry are in the driving seat in the race for a play-off place.
Wolverhampton''s 49-41 defeat by Swindon at Monmore on Monday appears to have scuppered any lingering hopes for Adams'' men to make the cut - but he''s refusing to completely rule it out.
''It''s Coventry''s spot to lose now,'' said Adams. ''But one thing our fans can be assured of is that our riders will be going for it right until the very end.
''The result was damaging, but Coventry''s win at Reading was doubly damaging and there is no doubt that they''re now in the driving seat.''
