OXFORD have booked their place in the Elite League play-offs after a hard fought 46-44 win over Peterborough.
The Silver Machine will now go to Wolverhampton on Monday in the first eliminator as the club aim to regain the title they won three years ago. Promoter Nigel Wagstaff said: ''It''s nice for the club to be in this position, especially as we have been without Sebastian Ulamek for so long.'' CARL Stonehewer is determined to take the Premier League Riders'' Championship at Sheffield on Sunday. The meeting, which has won valuable support from Sheffield Window Centre, will be decided by a grand final with the four top riders. Workington star Stonehewer said: ''I was unbeaten in my five qualifying rides last year and blew it when it mattered most, so I need to make it count this time.''
