SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES - 28TH AUGUST
28 August 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association
SPEEDWAY 1 WORLD Champion Jason Crump has admitted that he had to take tough decisions last winter to give himself the best chance of regaining the title. The Belle Vue star said: ''I changed my machinery, restructured the whole operation of the team and set some goals. ''Those decisions have paid off, and to achieve the goals with two GP rounds remaining makes it all the more satisfying.'' SPEEDWAY 2 CHRISTIAN Hefenbrock and William Lawson have both been declared fit for Wolverhampton''s vital Elite League clash with Poole. The riders have missed recent meetings due to illness and injury respectively but are now back to boost Wolves'' play-off push. Promoter Chris Van Straaten said: ''This is a massive meeting for us. We are still very much in contention but we cannot afford to slip up at home.''
