WOLVERHAMPTON BANK HOLIDAY PREVIEW
27 August 2006 - Wolverhampton Speedway

TALENTED youngster William Lawson faces a late fitness test before knowing whether he can take his place in Wolverhampton''s crucial Elite League clash with Poole at Monmore on Monday (7.30pm).

Lawson, who has impressed in his debut top flight season doubling up from Premier League Edinburgh, has missed recent matches for the Scottish side because of a crash at Sheffield.

Parrys International Wolves bosses Chris Van Straaten and Peter Adams will leave it as late as possible before getting a decision from Lawson - and from Christian Hefenbrock who has been suffering from a virus.

Van Straaten said: ''He''s been in a lot of discomfort and that''s why he''s had to miss some meetings.

''This is a massive meeting for us, Friday''s result (Wolves drew at Eastbourne) means we are still very much in contention for the play-offs but we cannot afford to slip up at home.''

A big Bank Holiday crowd is expected and for added entertainment there will also be a junior challenge between the two clubs - and a firework display to end the night courtesy of Wolverhampton Speedway''s long-standing friends Dianetics.

WOLVERHAMPTON: Peter Karlsson, Christian Hefenbrock (IF FIT), Ronnie Correy, Fredrik Lindgren, Billy Hamill, William Lawson (IF FIT), Magnus Karlsson.

POOLE: Bjarne Pedersen, Craig Boyce, Greg Walasek, Krzysztof Kasprzak, Antonio Lindback, Joonas Davidsson, Matthew Wethers.
