(SPEEDWAY 1) SCOTT Nicholls has withdrawn from Saturday''s Czech Grand Prix due to his broken collarbone. Nicholls has been having intensive physio this week but has admitted that he is not fit to compete, and his place will be taken by reserve rider Ryan Sullivan. With a 61-point lead going into the meeting and only three rounds to go, Jason Crump could clinch his second World title this weekend. (SPEEDWAY 2) DANISH star Hans Andersen has appealed for calm after receiving a rough reception in Peterborough''s recent away match at Coventry. Andersen said: ''I accept boos, banter and abuse are part of any sport, but what happened at Coventry was much worse. ''If I am wrong I will put my hands up and face the consequences, but if I am wrongly accused I will not just lie down and take it.'' (SPEEDWAY 3) SCUNTHORPE stage the biggest meeting in their history on Bank Holiday Monday with the Conference League Pairs taking place at Normanby Road. Each of the Conference sides will be sending their top two available riders to contest the event, with the hosts providing two teams. There are two groups of five teams, with the top two in each group advancing to the final stages of the event.
