SPEEDWAY 1 DAVID Howe has won a late call-up to Saturday''s Grand Prix Qualifying Final at Vetlanda as a replacement for the injured Janusz Kolodziej. Howe was second reserve for the event but first stand-by rider David Ruud is also injured. The Oxford man joins fellow Brits Simon Stead and Chris Harris in the 16-man field, with the top three riders winning a place in the 2007 Grand Prix series. SPEEDWAY 2 ALAN Mogridge will spend the last two months of his speedway career with Workington - and makes his Premier League Comets debut at former club Stoke! Mogridge recently lost his place at Loomer Road but replaces the injured Ritchie Hawkins for the Comets. Promoter Graham Drury said: ''Moggo will be going flat out to prove a point or two and I think it will be a belting meeting on Sunday.''
