WOLVERHAMPTON MATCH PREVIEW
16 August 2006 - Wolverhampton Speedway

PETER Karlsson resturns to former club Peterborough on Thursday as Wolverhampton continue their push for the play-offs.

Karlsson, who rode for the Panthers last season, is widely regarded as a track specialist at the East of England Showground.

Panthers are one of the favourites to win the league title and start the meeting as firm favourites after winning the corresponding fixture at Monmore in June.

Karlsson said: ''Of course it''s going to be hard, but they are there to be beaten and we will give it everything we''ve got.

''We know what we need to do to get into the play-offs and if we can get a result at Peterborough it would be a massive boost.''

The meeting is the first of two in as many days as the Parrys International Wolves go to Coventry on Friday.

Premier League rider Trent Leverington of Stoke comes in at reserve as squad members Tomas Suchanek, William Lawson and Ben Wilson are all in action for their parent clubs.

PETERBOROUGH: Hans Andersen, Ulrich Ostergaard, Ryan Sullivan, Niels Kristian Iversen, Jesper B Jensen R/R, Richard Hall, Karol Zabik.

WOLVERHAMPTON: Peter Karlsson, Christian Hefenbrock, Ronnie Correy, Billy Hamill, Fredrik Lindgren, Trent Leverington, Magnus Karlsson.
