WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY NEWS
13 August 2006 - Wolverhampton Speedway

PARRYS International Wolves face another crucial home clash at Monmore Green on Monday with the famous Belle Vue Aces in town.

It is the first match of a busy week which also includes away trips to Peterborough and Coventry, and Wolves have to start it with a home win.

They were run close by Oxford last week and Belle Vue certainly have a proven record at Monmore - but Wolves are able to welcome Ronnie Correy back after his compulsory US return, and the American was sorely missed against the Cheetahs.

Belle Vue are, of course, led by World Champion-elect Jason Crump, who is almost certain to clinch the title in the Czech Grand Prix a week on Saturday - and who boasts a hugely impressive Elite League average in excess of eleven.

Former Wolves squad member Simon Stead also sparkled at Monmore last season, and with the Aces desperate to improve their away record to boost their play-off chances a thrilling contest is in prospect.

WOLVERHAMPTON: Peter Karlsson, Christian Hefenbrock, Ronnie Correy, Billy Hamill, Fredrik Lindgren, William Lawson, Magnus Karlsson.
BELLE VUE: Simon Stead, James Wright, Kenneth Bjerre, Joe Screen, Jason Crump, Phil Morris, Tom P Madsen.
