SPEEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES - 12TH AUGUST
12 August 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association
SPEEDWAY 1 ARENA-ESSEX have signed Swedish youngster Andreas Messing as a replacement for the injured Mariusz Puszakowski. Hammers promoter Ronnie Russell made his move after the Pole was ruled out for the rest of the season, and Messing will debut against Poole next Friday. Russell said: ''Andreas is a rising star in Sweden and we are pleased to have got his name on a contract.'' SPEEDWAY 2 STOKE reserve Barrie Evans has been ruled out of the Potters'' clash with the Isle of Wight due to a knuckle injury. Any further damage to the wound would leave Evans requiring a skin graft, which would put him out for the rest of the season. The Potters have brought in Glasgow''s Robert Ksiezak as a guest after good performances at Loomer Road in the past.
