SPEEDWAY 1

COVENTRY have taken advantage of Jacek Rempala''s return to UK racing with Berwick by signing him as their No.8.
The Pole made his Elite League debut at Swindon on Thursday and impressed with paid eight, twice beating Grand Prix star Lee Richardson.
Bees co-boss Peter Oakes said: ''He got better and better as the night went on and certainly showed he can adapt to the Elite League.''

SPEEDWAY 2

WORKINGTON''S Tomasz Piszcz may require a skin graft to heal the friction burns from which he has suffered for the last fortnight.
The Pole has returned home during the Comets'' break from fixtures but will be back for the Premier League Fours on August 19.
Promoter Graham Drury said: ''I can''t praise him enough as he''s been in agony on several occasions but gone out and done his bit for us.''
