LADIES DEPTS. NOW IN ALL 12 INFINITY STORES
15 September 2004 - Infinity Motorcycles

According to industry statistics around 750,000 British women hold a motorcycle licence and women account for 18% of successful motorcycle test candidates, with numbers increasing steadily since the mid-1990''s.

Infinity Motorcycles, the UK’s largest chain of motorcycle & accessory stores, has responded to increasing demand for clothing from women riders by opening dedicated Ladies Departments in all 12 of its showrooms.

“We have invested in ladies ranges in complete size bridges to ensure that all our female customers have a great shopping experience,” explains Infinity''s Dave Holloway. “Women are really well catered for on the high street but it''s generally the absolute opposite in motorcycle shops and we aim to change that.”

Infinity stock a range of ladies clothing in all showrooms, including leather jackets, jeans & suits, textiles and boots. In addition they ensure that smaller sizes of helmets and gloves are available as women tend to require much smaller sizes than men.

Half of Infinity''s branches stock Dainese, which has proved to be particularly popular with lady riders, who like the Italian styling and fit.

“Bike shops can be very male dominated environments” adds Infinity Managing Director Rob Puttick “So we aim to be more female-friendly by ensuring that we have decent changing rooms and at least one female member of staff per branch.”
