03 August 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association
NB. PLEASE CHECK FRIDAY FIXTURES - THESE HAVE CHANGED IN THE LAST 24 HOURS! SPEEDWAY 1 OXFORD moved off the foot of the Elite League table with a stunning 14-point win at fellow strugglers Arena-Essex. Chris Louis proved to be an inspired choice of guest for the Cheetahs as the former British Champion stormed to a 15-point maximum. Promoter Aaron Lanney said: ''The mood of our riders is very positive at the moment. They are enjoying their speedway and getting the job done.'' SPEEDWAY 2 READING star Janusz Kolodziej has broken his collarbone for the second time this season and faces around six weeks out. The Pole crashed in a Swedish League fixture on Tuesday having only recently returned from his first injury. The Bulldogs will revert to using the rider replacement facility with Kolodziej battling to be fit for the club''s potential play-off campaign in late September.
