SPEEDWAY 1

POOLE have parted company with reserve Shaun Tacey and announced that his position will be shared between Robert Ksiezak and Matthew Wethers.

Tacey had been recruited to replace Daniel Davidsson on a month-long contract, but this has not been extended.

Promoter Matt Ford said: ''Shaun put in a lot of hard work but in the end it didn''t work out, maybe it was just a step too far.''

SPEEDWAY 2

JASON Crump will take advantage of a five-day break to visit an ankle specialist in London this week.

The Grand Prix leader continued his remarkable form despite his injury when he scored a faultless 15-point maximum against Coventry.

Crump said: ''I spoke to the medics at Lonigo and they said that something could be broken in my heel, but I had to ride in Italy.''

SPEEDWAY 3

BERWICK have captured the signing of highly-rated Pole Jacek Rempala - and he will make his debut agianst Edinburgh on Saturday.

Rempala replaces Lee Smethills, who has been released from the Bandits'' line-up with immediate effect.

Promoter Peter Waite said: ''I must thank Lee for his sterling efforts, but the chance to get Jacek into the side was one I couldn''t turn down.''
