30 July 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association

SPEEDWAY 1

JASON Crump shrugged off the effects of an ankle injury to keep his World title charge going with victory in the Italian Grand Prix at Lonigo.

Crump now has a virtually unassailable 57-point lead in the standings after passing Hans Andersen to win the Final.

Andersen eventually finished third with British skipper Scott Nicholls following Crump past the Dane to equal his best-ever Grand Prix result in second.

SPEEDWAY 2

WORLD Championship leader Jason Crump is still taking nothing for granted after his fourth Grand Prix win of the year.

Crump has dropped just ten points in six rounds so far following his triumph at Lonigo on Saturday.

The Australian said: ''I''m really happy, but I''m taking one Grand Prix at a time. I want to have a second half of the season which is as good as the first.''
