SPEEDWAY 1 WORLD Championship leader Jason Crump is fighting a fitness battle ahead of Saturday''s Italian Grand Prix after a crash at Coventry. Crump took avoiding action when Rory Schlein''s machine slowed on the last bend of the last race, and he suffered an ankle injury. He has flown to Lonigo for further treatment as the Italian circuit has a full medical unit, although he may elect to miss the practice session. SPEEDWAY 2 NEW Elite League leaders Swindon have announced the signing of former Grand Prix rider Tomasz Chrzanowski to replace Sebastian Alden. The 26-year-old Pole will join the Robins on loan from Poole subject to approval from the sport''s Management Committee. Promoter Alun Rossiter said: ''Tomasz will add some potency to the reserve department and I''m sure he''ll soon be getting amongst the points.''
