ANOTHER ARC CHALLENGE RIDE ANNOUNCED
31 July 2006 - Arc Challenge Ride
Ready to Roll
After an incredibly successful first year poker run, the ARC of Martin County (Advocates for the Rights of the Challenged) has announced February 10th, 2007 as the date for next year’s event. Geoff Oldfather is the Vice Chair of the ARC Board of Directors and Chairman of the Treasure Coast Challenge Ride. The event drew about 3000 bikers last year and organizers hope for an even better turnout this time. Bikers will leave from Treasure Coast Harley-Davidson in Stuart and Iron Eagle Motorcycle Company in West Palm Beach between 9:30 and 11:45 am. Riders will then follow an established route where they will collect poker playing cards along the way. Following the event, the riders and the public are invited to celebrate the success of the poker run at Treasure Coast Harley- Davidson with live music featuring national recording artist and rocker Bobby Friss and the Bobby Friss Band. Food, soft drinks and other refreshments will be available for purchase. There will also be motorcycle stunt performances, kids activities, community booths and motorcycle vendors for the attendees to enjoy. Aaron Patrick of Treasure Coast Harley Davidson announced that his company will donate a brand new 2007 Harley- Davidson Fatboy for the top raffle prize. Ticket sales will kick off on August 1st at the National Bikers Roundup August 1st to 6th at the St. Lucie County Fairgrounds. Ticket sales will be limited to 3000. Tickets are $20 per ticket or 6 for $100. ARC volunteers invite the public to join other bikers for this great event in support of The ARC and their efforts to fund critical programs that empower people with disabilities to achieve their fullest potential.
