25 July 2006 - Wolverhampton Speedway

PARRYS International Wolves face a tough trip to table-topping Reading on Wednesday - the club''s first trip to Smallmead in a decade.

But fortunately the Monmore men to have some recent experience of the Berkshire venue, with four of their riders having ridden there last week in the World Cup.

This evening''s meeting is the re-arrangement from the initially-scheduled May Bank Holiday date, which was postponed due to the open-top bus celebrations of Reading FC on the same day.

Consequently, Wolves are defending a three-point lead for the aggregate bonus point after a 48-45 win at home earlier in the season, and the match is not directly connected to Monday''s draw at Monmore.

Wolves are unchanged from that encounter, whilst Reading are expected to welcome back Janusz Kolodziej who missed Monday''s meeting due to illness, but they still have a doubt over Andy Smith. No.8 Glenn Cunningham once again stands by to replace the former British Champion.
