BRITISH SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES 12.9.04
12 September 2004 - British Speedway Promoters Association

WOLVERHAMPTON manager Peter Adams says his team will be ''going for the jugular'' when they face Peterborough at Monmore on Monday.

He said: ''We need to claim all three points to confirm second place and a home draw in the play-offs, particularly after Ipswich won at Oxford on Friday. ''We need to score at 3.8 points per race to reach 57-points - it''s a tall order but we''ll be up for it.''

BELLE Vue boss John Perrin insists his side have a genuine chance of grabbing a play-off place - if they can beat Swindon at Kirkmanshulme Lane on Monday. He said: ''We''re doing everything we can to catch up with our fixtures and people should write us off at their peril. ''Quite simply, we need to win all our meetings this week and Monday is a massive night for us.''
