BRITISH captain Scott Nicholls says the team can be optimistic of a good World Cup Final after coming through Thursday''s Race-Off.

Nicholls helped repel a late charge from Poland, meaning that the reigning Champions will not defend their title on Saturday.

Nicholls said: ''It was a good run-out and everyone did their bit. Qualifying for the Final was the aim and we all start with a clean slate on Saturday.''
