SPEEDWAY 1

OXFORD owner Aaron Lanney admits he was ''stunned but overjoyed'' when he was told that Cheetahs star Ales Dryml is fully conscious.

And the club have revealed how they were preparing for the worst just 48-hours earlier after Dryml''s horrific crash in the home meeting with Wolves.

Lanney said: ''I''m stunned but overjoyed. This is the best news ever, and I''m so happy for him, his family and his friends.''

SPEEDWAY 2

WOLVERHAMPTON rider Ronnie Correy was immediately contacted by Oxford boss Aaron Lanney when critically ill Cheetahs man Ales Dryml regained consciousness.

Correy could do nothing to avoid Dryml in the accident and has been in regular contact with the club.

Lanney said: ''Ronnie was delighted. I have spoken with him many times since the accident and I''m so happy for him that it looks as though Ales is on the mend.''
