RR WCH 250 ROUND 10: GERMAN GRAND PRIX
15 July 2006 - KTM-Sportmotorcycles AG

Sachsenring Final Qualifying (15.07.2006)

Hiroshi Aoyama fifth in the starting lineup for the Sachsenring GP

Red Bull KTM GP 250 riders Hiroshi Aoyama from Japan and Manuel Poggiali from San Marino, start Sunday’s 29-lap race from positions six and 13 on the grid. The team has again achieved all the necessary work to make sure that both riders have the best possible bikes to race on this technically challenging course.

Both of the riders are confident of a good race result.

Hiroshi Aoyama #4 Red Bull KTM GP 250 — 6th Position — 1’25.377
“Both training sessions went rather better today than yesterday. We made good progress with the chassis and I have a much better feel for the bike. Now I am sixth and that’s not bad for the race tomorrow, even if the first corner of the first lap here at the Sachsenring is extremely difficult. I am hoping for a good start and if so, then I am going to be able to ride another good race.“

Manuel Poggiali # 54 Red Bull KTM GP 250 — 13th Position — 1’26.097
“The training was not bad today but I will use the warm up to try out the final settings for the chassis. I’ll also make my final decision about the racing tyres. Our race is at 11.00 a.m. tomorrow. The circuit temperature is not so high and the performance of the tyres is different than in qualifying.”

Circuit: dry/43°C
Air temperature: 23°C
