SPEEDWAY 1

OXFORD star Ales Dryml is still described as ''critical but stable'' after sustaining severe head injuries at Cowley on Wednesday.

Dryml, who had a ''comfortable'' night, has his brother and father at his bedside and will have more tests on Friday after the results of a scan are analysed.

One positive item of information is that the Czech rider has not sustained any serious spinal damage.

SPEEDWAY 2

SWINDON owner Terry Russell intends to meet the leader of the Council to clarify the position regarding the threat to the Robins'' future.

The owners of the Abbey Stadium at Blunsdon have proposed a re-development for the site which does not include speedway.

Russell sad: ''My intention and wish is that Swindon continues to operate and I will be doing everything I can to ensure that this happens.''
