DAVID Norris has suffered multiple injuries to his leg after a horrifying crash during Eastbourne''s Elite League draw with Swindon at Arlington.
The inspirational Eagles skipper as suffered a broken tibia, fibula and ankle and now faces a race to be fit for the start of next season. Eagles boss Jon Cook said: ''I''ve lost my right hand man. David has been an inspiration to this club throughout the season and I''m devastated.'' SOMERSET boss Mick Bell has revealed some of the injuries sustained by Matt Read at the weekend. He said: ''We do know that Matt has head, chest and back injuries but as to the full extent of the injuries, we don''t know. ''We feel very strongly that the full details of treatment taking place within the hospital should remain private to Matt and his family.'' CHAMPIONS Hull will be presented with the Premier League trophy when they face Berwick at Craven Park on Wednesday (7.30pm). Edinburgh co-promoter Alex Harkess will present the silverware to continue the tradition of recent years which sees the reigning champions officially hand over the title. Vikings boss Eric Boocock said: ''After the meeting the riders will have the champagne celebrations and it should be a great night.''
