SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES - 9TH JULY
09 July 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association

SPEEDWAY 1

RUSTY Harrison has ridden his last race for Edinburgh after his controversial walk-out prior to the conclusion of Friday''s match at Armadale.

The Monarchs management have been granted a 28-day facility to use rider replacement prior to signing a new rider.

Promoter John Campbell said: ''We felt that it was important to make this announcement quickly to end the speculation which has naturally been taking place.''

SPEEDWAY 2

MILDENHALL promoter Mick Horton intends to appeal against the SCB''s docking of the Fen Tigers'' bonus point from their clash with Newcastle.

Horton feels that Craig Branny, who was deemed ineligible, was entitled to ride for his team and should not have had his ten points deducted.

Horton said: ''I have complete faith in the rulebook and trust the decision will be looked at again.''
