BEVO FORTI NAMED TO AMA RACING COMMITTEE
06 July 2006 - AMA Pro Racing

One of two standing committees of the AMA Board of Directors.

The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) and AMA Pro Racing have announced that Bevo Forti, SCOTT USA''s Motocross Pro Support representative and a fixture in AMA Motocross and AMA Supercross pits, will serve on the AMA Racing Committee, one of two standing committees of the AMA Board of Directors.

The AMA Racing Committee manages strategic planning and direction within its area of the AMA''s mission, with the goal of responding to the interests of the AMA''s 270,000 members. The other members of the Racing Committee are Carl Reynolds (chair), Art More, Jeff Nash, John Ulrich, and Bill Werner.

''Bevo is a great addition to the AMA Racing Committee, and we''re thrilled to have him on-board,'' said Reynolds. ''His knowledge of the sport, along with his 20-plus years of building relationships with AMA racers and teams, will be valuable assets to us in shaping the future of AMA racing.''

''I''m happy to have the chance to give back to the sport I love by serving on this important group,'' said Forti. ''It''s a great opportunity to share what I''ve learned, and I look forward to working with the other members of the committee and the AMA Board of Directors.''

The AMA Board of Directors, which meets four times a year, consists of 12 members. Six individual Directors are elected by the general membership in their respective regions and serve three-year terms. Six corporate Directors are elected by the corporate membership and serve two-year terms.
