BRITISH SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES 8.9.04
08 September 2004 - British Speedway Promoters Association
JOINT Coventry manager Peter Oakes believes Russian reserve Sergey Darkin should have come over to Britain much earlier.
Darkin has been a revelation for the Bees and beat world championship leader Jason Crump at Belle Vue on Monday. Oakes said: ''It only underlines his enormous potential and he must only wonder what might have been if he had come to Britain far earlier in his career.'' CLAUS Kristensen has left Berwick with immediate effect to be replaced by fellow Dane Tom P Madsen. Bandits boss Peter Waite said: ''This is merely the start of fairly wholesale changes that will effect the Bandits line-up in readiness for next season. ''If the chance had come about I would have liked to have made many more changes, even with the season nearly over, that''s how strong I feel.''
