SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES - 4TH JULY
04 July 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association
SPEEDWAY 1 MILDENHALL promoter Mick Horton has cast doubt over the club''s long-term future at West Row due to problems with track conditions. The Fen Tigers'' circuit is prepared by the track''s stock car promotion, and Horton described Sunday''s surface as ''diabolical.'' He said: ''I have begun to view other options open to me elsewhere and already have a couple of offers on the table to move the team next season.'' SPEEDWAY 2 KING''S Lynn have arranged an International Young Guns event for the Norfolk Arena on Wednesday in the wake of England''s football World Cup exit. The club did not intend to run had England made the semi-finals, but have now booked the likes of Lewis Bridger and Richard Hall for the meeting. Co-promoter Jonathan Chapman said: ''This looks to set to be a real cracker with an awesome display of young talent.''
