''A 21-year-old man who plunged 200ft down a cliff face near St Agnes [Cornwall] escaped death thanks to a £45 motorbike jacket, his mother believes.''

Speaking for the first time since the incident, Jamie''s mother Gill believes he owes his life to a £45 Weiss [Weise, from Fowlers of Bristol] padded leather motorcycling jacket, which protected his back during the fall.''

Fowlers of Bristol have offered Mr Hamilton a free replacement jacket.
