SPEEDWAY 1

BERWICK have assembled what promoter Peter Waite believes to be the best-ever field for the Bordernapolis Individual event on Saturday.

Former World No.3 Todd Wiltshire heads the line-up with fellow Elite League stars Simon Stead and Travis McGowan, and ex-Bandits favourite Carl Wilkinson.

Waite said: ''They are all superb Shielfield Park performers so we will be in for a festival of speedway excellence.''

SPEEDWAY 2

EASTBOURNE star David Norris is a major doubt for the club''s forthcoming Knockout Cup clashes with Wolverhampton.

Norris missed Thursday''s trip to Swindon due to a trapped nerve in his arm, which could see him sit out on Saturday and Monday.

Promoter Jon Cook said: ''It''s very disappointing, I feel we are destined never to field a full strength team for more than one match at a time.''
