BRITISH SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES 9.9.04
09 September 2004 - British Speedway Promoters Association

LEIGH Adams is hoping his knowledge of the Poole track will help him to victory in the prestigious Elite League Riders'' Championship on Sunday.

Adams was a member of the Pirates'' treble winning team last season and represents Swindon in the showpiece event. He said: ''I had a great time with Poole last season and it would mean a heck of a lot to win this meeting.''

NEWPORT boss Tim Stone is urging fans to turn out in force for their last home Premier League date of the season on Sunday. The Wasps face both Reading and Berwick in a double-header and Stone believes it represents superb value. He said: ''It is a very attractive double-header this Sunday, and other promoters have agreed with me that the prices represent great value for money.''
