WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY - MATCH REPORT
28 June 2006 - Wolverhampton Speedway
BELLE VUE 61 WOLVES 35 (Elite League) WOLVERHAMPTON endured a miserable night at Belle Vue with their heaviest defeat of the season - and their worst in the Elite League for nearly thee years - as the Aces put in an impressive display. The most striking aspect of the scorechart was that the home side did not run a single last place all evening, a major disappointment given their theoretically long tail. Wolves did manage five race wins, including two for Fredrik Lindgren, but having dropped ten points down after four races it was always going to be an uphill struggle. Chris Louis replaced injured skipper Peter Karlsson and won a tactical ride in Heat 5, but that turned out to be his only success of the night as he was unable to repeat his score of three weeks ago at Arena-Essex. But with the exception of Lindgren, who also won a tactical ride, Wolves were below their target in all departments of the team with Magnus Karlsson and William Lawson unable to trouble the scorers. BELLE VUE: Joe Screen 12+2, Jason Crump 12, Kenneth Bjerre 9+3, Simon Stead 9+1, Tom P Madsen 7+2, Phil Morris 6+2, James Wright 6+1. WOLVES: Fredrik Lindgren 13, Chris Louis 8, Billy Hamill 6, Ronnie Correy 4, Christian Hefenbrock 4, Magnus Karlsson 0, William Lawson 0.
