WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY: MATCH PREVIEW
27 June 2006 - Wolverhampton Speedway
WOLVERHAMPTON skipper Peter Karlsson is battling against a hamstring-related injury ahead of the testing trip to Belle Vue on Wednesday. Karlsson had to pull out of Heat 15 against Coventry on Monday after aggravating the problem, which stems from a crash in Sweden three weeks ago. The Swede has a busy schedule of fixtures in all three major domestic Leagues, plus his own Grand Prix qualification campaign, and time out of the saddle is the last thing he needs. Wolves travel to Kirkmanshulme Lane looking to break one of only two remaining 100 per cent home records in the Elite League - and the Aces have rarely been in danger of being upset on their own track this season. They beat Wolves by 15 points in April, although the two teams have yet to meet this season at Monmore Green. Wolves manager Peter Adams said: ''The contest there on Good Friday was an uncomfortable experience for us as we failed to come to terms with a poorly prepared strip. You can be sure that this time we''re intent on doing a whole lot better.'' BELLE VUE: Kenneth Bjerre, Joe Screen, Simon Stead, James Wright, Jason Crump, Phil Morris, Tom P Madsen. WOLVES: Peter Karlsson, Magnus Karlsson, Ronnie Correy, Fredrik Lindgren, Billy Hamill, William Lawson, Christian Hefenbrock.
