GNCC SERIES: ROUND 9 MC HENRY, MD

Conditions (weather and course) Wet conditions; started raining Sunday morning at 6am and basically rained all day. Temperature still around 70. This year course had lots of fast sections going straight up and down the ski hill. But it was still the traditional rocky terrain. Originally track was 13miles but before the start they cut of a lot of sections and they ran 9 mile loop. Afterhalf way of the race they cut one more mile out of the course due to very bad conditions. The Race Race started good with 2 and 3 positions and quickly Juha moved into lead. All day he was racing with Yamaha rider Barry Hawk and they switch positions almost every lap. Then on lap 3 Juha crash and get all gloves and handlebar grips muddy and slick. He tried to ride one more lap like this but he could not hold the bike anymore and start loosing time to first place. Beginning of lap 5 he pulled in to pits to change gloves, goggles and get some gas. Then he rode 2 more laps and finished 2nd Robbie Jenks had multiple problems with his eyes because he needed to ride without goggles little while until he got always new goggle from the pit.
