SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES - 23 JUNE
23 June 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association
SPEEDWAY 1 SWINDON are considering making changes after being below full-strengh for a series of meetings due to riders'' continental commitments. Adrian Miedzinski missed Thursday''s home defeat by Reading after being recalled to Poland for an Under-21 event, and Renat Gafurov has also missed a number of matches. Promoter Alun Rossiter said: ''We are looking at other options as it''s totally unacceptable, although we don''t blame the riders at all.'' SPEEDWAY 2 POLISH youngster Pawel Hlib will make his Coventry debut in Monday''s big local derby clash with Wolverhampton at Monmore Green. Hlib has been recruited by the Bees as a replacement for the injured Morten Risager, who is out with a broken leg. Coventry co-promoter Colin Pratt said: ''I believe Pawel can do us a great job, and we are delighted to be adding him to our asset base.''
