ALBERT WINS HIS FIRST VICTORY OF THE OUTDOOR SEASON ON SUNDAY

This victory moves the Sherco rider into fourth place in the overall standings

The GP of Japan was the second overseas competition in a row for the riders competing in the World Trials Championship. The event which was held at the Motegi Twin Ring in Japan turned out to be very positive for the Sherco colors, with a double podium and the first outright victory of the season for Albert Cabestany.
The Sherco rider had an outstanding weekend with two podiums, a third place on Saturday and a victory on Sunday. On Saturday he was within 3 marks of the victory, with a greater knowledge of the course and drier conditions Sunday was his day. Albert was able to defeat the existing Champion of the World, Adam Raga; Albert was in outstanding form and dominated the second lap on Sunday scoring only 2 points. With this triumph, and the third place he obtained on Saturday, Albert Cabestany has moved up a place in the provisional classification, he is now in fourth place, five points behind third.

Albert Cabestany: “This was a very important victory to me and my team, because it permits us to recover our confidence after a shaky start of the season. I expect that this will be the beginning of more good results for us. Today was an impeccable day, the motorcycle and the team functioned to perfection, and just as we have said, I expect this to continue.”

Double victory for Sherco
in the 125 Youth Cup
Loris Gubian and Matteo Grattarola
dominate the 125 Youth Championship


The trip to Japan for the men of Sherco could not have been more positive, the victory obtained by Albert Cabestany on Sunday and his third place finish on Saturday earned him the title of best rider of the weekend. Two of the Sherco 125 youth riders also had outstanding results in Japan. The Italian rider Matteo Grattarola was the winner on Saturday and the French rider Loris Gubian was second, on Sunday they reversed these positions, Gubian was first and Grattarola was second, rounding out a spectacular weekend for Sherco. The victory by Gubian moved him into first place in the provisional classification with 102 points, followed by Grattarola with 86, confirming Shercos dominance in the category.

2006 Spanish Enduro Championship

Sensational podium
for Joan Pedrero

The fourth round of the Spanish Enduro Championship was seen as an extremely difficult race, the intense heat and difficult terrain caused true chaos among the riders, there were many crashes and many abandonment’s. In this extreme environment the Sherco rider Joan Pedrero, shined very brightly, proving his skill and the strength and reliability of his Sherco 4.5i Enduro bike, by finishing a very impressive third place behind the current leaders of the Championship. Today’s third place finish moves him into forth place, tied for third place with Christopher Guerrero in the provisional classification.
