WOLVERHAMPTON star David Howe believes the Monmore team have what it takes to repeat their 2002 Elite League title success.

As was the case two years ago, Wolves will not finish top of the regular table before the play-offs, but Howe insists that counts for nothing. He said: ''We''re quite happy this year to let Poole run away and finish top, but we have to do it when it matters most.''

HULL promoter Paul Hodder has played down talk of the Premier League champions moving up to the Elite League next season. Hodder said: ''I''ve had no approach whatsoever on the matter. I''d be happy to talk to them, although I can''t see us moving up next season. ''I think we''d need a six-figure sum and a big increase in attendances to think about moving up.''
