WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY: TEAM UPDATE

PETER Karlsson has handed Wolverhampton a boost ahead of tonight''s eagerly awaited Elite League clash with Arena-Essex at Monmore Green by declaring himself fit.
Karlsson missed last night''s Pairs Championship at Swindon due to a long-term neck problem which needed physio early this morning.

Wolverhampton owner Chris Van Straaten had placed Great Britain star Scott Nicholls on standby to make a guest appearance if Karlsson didn''t make it.
He said: ''Peter called me the moment he came out of his treatment and said he was heading straight for the airport to get over from Sweden.

''I would like to place on record my appreciation to Scott Nicholls for making himself available if we needed him.''
