BUMPER NIGHT OF RACING FOR THE YOUNGSTERSSHEFFIELD PIRTEK PROWLERS v COVENTRY COUGARSCONFERENCE TROPHYFOLLOWED BY BRITISH UNDER-15 CHAMPIONSHIPMONDAY SEPTEMBER 6 - 6.30pm
VALUE for money is the key at Sheffield''s Owlerton Stadium on Monday with a bumper night of all-action speedway. Sheffield Pirtek Prowlers face Coventry Cougars in a Conference Trophy fixture at 6.30pm followed by the latest round of a brand new competition for talented youngsters. Coventry include Tom Brown, who has experience with Workington and Trelawny at Premier League level, along with Karl Mason who currently rides for Newport at Premier level. Ben Barker is one of the hottest prospects on the British scene and rides for Oxford in the Conrference League but is allowed to race for the famous midlands club in the trophy competition. Latvian Karlis Ezergailis hit the British scene with some after-match rides at Newport earlier this summer and will be making his Owlerton debut. And former Wolves youngster Jeremy Pestell also lines up for the Cougars against a Prowlers side who will feature first team regulars Ben Wilson and Richard Hall. Immediately after the team event, 16 of Britain''s best young teenage hopes will do battle in the latest round of the seas-long British Under-15 championship. The series has included rounds at Edinburgh and Weymouth and a meeting at Sheffield was inevitable because of the club''s reputation in developing young talent. The evening will consist of 35 races with normal Conference admission rates applying for a bumper night of action.
