18 June 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association
SPEEDWAY 1 CHARLIE Gjedde has been declared fit to return to the Reading team for the Bulldogs'' local derby clash with Swindon on Monday. Gjedde missed Reading''s trip to Coventry last week after picking up an ankle injury in their previous home match. Team boss Jim Lynch said: ''Swindon pushed us a little too close for my liking on their previous two visits, so we want to get a better result.'' SPEEDWAY 2 WOLVERHAMPTON skipper Peter Karlsson expects a tough test against former club Peterborough at Monmore Green on Monday. The Panthers will be giving a debut to Polish sensation Karol Zabik in a bid to pep up their lower-order. Karlsson said: ''Last time they were here they pushed us all the way and I think they''ll do the same this time, so it should be a cracking meeting.''
