TOSELAND EXTENDS LEAD

James Toseland (Ducati) extended his lead in the Superbike World Championship with a first and second place at Assen today. Chris Vermeulen (Honda) moved into second after winning the second heat.
Regis Laconi, Noriyuki Haga and Pierfranceso Chili (both Ducati) also finished on the podium. The championship sees the top four riders (Toseland, Laconi, Vermeulen and Haga) covered by just 14 points with four races remaining. Full results available on the site.
