SPEEDWAY 1

ANTONIO Lindback became the first rider to crack the 57-second barrier at Wimborne Road as he broke the Poole track record on Wednesday.

Lindback clocked 56.91 in Heat 3 of the Pirates'' resounding win over Swindon, taking 0.15s off the old record.

Poole boss Neil Middleditch said: ''Lindback was awesome. He was riding at the very top of his form and the track record ride was straight out of the textbook.''

SPEEDWAY 2

POLISH sensation Karol Zabik plans to be perfectly prepared for his first Elite League meetings with Peterborough next week.

The 19-year-old World Under-21 finalist has fixed up a base in the city and will be bringing his own mechanics over from Poland.
