WOLVES 56 ARENA-ESSEX 36 WOLVES brushed aside the challenge of Arena-Essex, who had been expected to cause them a number of problems especially with the home side weakened at reserve. But their top three were in fine form and second-strings Ronnie Correy and Magnus Karlsson stepped up with two of their best performances of the season. Peter Karlsson scored yet another maximum as Wolves eased to a surprisingly straightforward win, taking the bonus point to move up a place in the Elite League table. And such was the dominance of the Monmore men that Karlsson was not required to compete in the final race after flying in early in the morning following treatment on a neck injury. Wolves legend Mikael Max made a quiet return to Monmore in the visitors'' colours, beaten by his brother on two occasions and also conceding a 5-1 to Correy and Lindgren in his second outing. WOLVES: Billy Hamill 13+1, Peter Karlsson 12, Fredrik Lindgren 12, Ronnie Correy 8+2, Magnus Karlsson 6+1, Matthew Wethers 3, Kevin Little 2+1. ARENA-ESSEX: Joonas Kylmakorpi 10, Paul Hurry 8, Mikael Max 7, Leigh Lanham 5+1, Steve Johnston 4+1, Shaun Tacey 1+1, James Brundle 1.
