07 June 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association

SPEEDWAY 1

THE SCB have issued an immediate amendment to the result of last night''s match between the Isle of Wight and Workington to 52-42.

Confusion arose when the Comets'' James Wright was not awarded double points for finishing second as a tactical ride in Heat 11.

The interpretation was that he had not beaten an opponent as Islanders'' Chris Johnson had crashed, but the extra two points have now been added.

SPEEDWAY 2

SWINDON have called up Travis McGowan from their local rivals Reading to make a guest appearance for the Robins on Thursday.

The Blunsdon club go into their match against Arena-Essex without Polish duo Sebastian Ulamek and Adrian Miedzinski.
