SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES - 8TH JUNE
08 June 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association
SPEEDWAY 1 JOONAS Kylmakorpi sustained a broken collarbone as Arena-Essex surrendered their unbeaten home record against Wolverhampton. Kylmakorpi crashed into the back of team-mate Mikael Max after the end of Heat 13 when he had just overtaken Billy Hamill for third place. Chris Louis proved to be a perfect guest for injured Wolves skipper Peter Karlsson with 13 points and reserve Christian Hefenbrock piled up paid-16. SPEEDWAY 2 MILDENHALL have swooped to sign experienced American Brent Werner as a replacement for the retired Andrew Moore. Werner broke his collarbone earlier in the season whilst racing for Eastbourne and lost his place at Arlington as a result. Fen Tigers promoter Mick Horton said: ''It took a lot of negotiating but this is another great signing for Mildenhall. Brent will give us the consistency that I have been looking for.''
