13 June 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association
SPEEDWAY 1 KRZYSZTOF Kasprzak could be out for a further month after being told that he cannot have laser treatment on his broken collarbone. The Pole has been beset by misfortune recently, with his latest injury coming in a road accident. Kasprzak said: ''Both ends of the broken bones have flattened out and they might not knit together perfectly with laser treatment. I have to do what the doctor tells me.'' SPEEDWAY 2 PIOTR Protasiewicz says that Ipswich are on track for the play-offs after a convincing win over Swindon on Monday. The Pole blasted back to top form with 14 points, including two impressive wins over Robins skipper Leigh Adams. Protasiewicz said: ''I was really pleased with the meeting, and next week I would like to think we can get five Elite League points against Arena-Essex.'' SPEEDWAY 3 WORLD-famous Speedway doctor Carlo Biagi - dubbed the ''Miracle Doctor'' - has died.
