CHESTER TO TEAR UP TT
01 June 2006 - Harley-Davidson UK

Chester Harley-Davidson to Race VRXSE V-Rod Destroyer at Isle of Man

Chester Harley-Davidson, Cheshire’s only authorised Harley-Davidson and Buell dealership, will be setting the drag strip on fire at the legendary Isle of Man TT this weekend as they race the awesome VRXSE Screamin’ Eagle V-Rod Destroyer – Harley-Davidson’s production drag racer.

With champion drag racer Phil Wood at the controls, who holds track records at strips across the UK including Brighton, Chester Harley-Davidson will be looking to prove the Destroyer’s mettle in their initial testing of the dealership’s new race-prepared bike this weekend.

Kirk Herbert, manager of Chester Harley-Davidson said: “With Phil riding for us on this new out-of-the-box drag racer from Harley, we’ve got a lot more than a fighting chance of showing what a 165 bhp V-twin can do. Phil’s expertise has kept him at the top of his game for more than a decade, winning the 2005 Streetfighter Top Bike drag series amongst many others, and coupled with the Destroyer’s explosive power and bespoke equipment for drag racing we’re looking to set good foundations for entering a full race series in 2007.”

The Harley-Davidson Screamin’ Eagle Destroyer is a 1300cc, 165bhp, professional-level V-twin drag-racing motorcycle designed exclusively for competition by Harley-Davidson Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO).
