01 June 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association

BERWICK promoter Peter Waite took the step of apologising to both sets of supporters after the Bandits were routed 70-20 at King''s Lynn.

The Stars sailed into the next round of the Knockout Cup, where they will face close
rivals Rye House.

Waite said: ''I send unreserved apologies to all Berwick fans, and to the unfortunate King''s Lynn supporters who had to suffer such a dire display. It was intolerable.''

EDINBURGH youngster William Lawson has discovered he has a fractured left elbow following a crash at Glasgow on Monday.

The news is also a blow to Wolverhampton, as Lawson has performed well in his outings for the Elite League club.
