POOLE 47 WOLVES 43 WOLVES came within one race of their first away win of the season only to be denied at the death - although they did manage to bring the aggregate bonus point home from Wimborne Road. But with the unbeaten Peter Karlsson going to the tapes with Billy Hamill for the last race and the scores level, they had high hopes of denting Poole''s unbeaten home record. However, Bjarne Pedersen and Antonio Lindback proved to be the heroes for the Pirates as they made the start and withstood everything that Karlsson in particular could throw at them. POOLE: Antonio Lindback 13+2, Bjarne Pedersen 11+1, Craig Boyce 8, Jonas Davidsson 7+2, Greg Walasek 5+2, Daniel Davidsson 3, r/r for Krzysztof Kasprzak. WOLVES: Peter Karlsson 12+1, Fredrik Lindgren 10+1, Billy Hamill 8, Christian Hefenbrock 6+2, Ronnie Correy 5, Ben Wilson 1+1, Magnus Karlsson 1+1. *WOLVES have suffered a blow with the news that impressive youngster William Lawson fractured his left elbow in his crash at Glasgow on Monday. Lawson was X-rayed on Wednesday but at present there is too much fluid around the injury to fully ascertain the severity of the injury. He will return to hospital next Monday for further examination. The Scot had already been ruled out of Thursday''s testing trip to Peterborough, where No.8 Lee Smethills will come in with Ben Wilson riding in the Premier League for Sheffield. Wolves defend a six-point lead for the aggregate bonus point at the Showground, with the hosts looking to go back to the top of the table. PETERBOROUGH: Hans Andersen, Ulrich Ostergaard, Ryan Sullivan, Niels-Kristian Iversen, Jesper B Jensen, Richard Hall, Jon Armstrong. WOLVES: Peter Karlsson, Magnus Karlsson, Ronnie Correy, Fredrik Lindgren, Billy Hamill, Lee Smethills, Christian Hefenbrock.
