31 May 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association
SPEEDWAY 1 RUSSIAN ace Roman Povazhny is back with Arena-Essex on a short-term contract to replace the injured Henning Bager. Bager has had an operation on his shoulder, and Povazhny will take the Dane''s place at Purfleet until he regains fitness. Hammers promoter Ronnie Russell said: ''I picked Roman as he has the experience around our raceway instead of a completely new rider to this country.'' SPEEDWAY 2 KRZYSZTOF Kasprzak has set a two-week comeback target as he undergoes treatment on a broken collarbone. The Poole star has been ruled out of Sunday''s Elite League Pairs at Swindon, where he will be replaced by Antonio Lindback.
