WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY
30 May 2006 - Wolverhampton Speedway

WILLIAM Lawson has been ruled out of Wolverhampton''s away matches at Poole and Peteborough this week.

The young Scot crashed heavily in Heat 14 of the Spring Cup clash between Glasgow and Edinburgh at Ashfield on Monday.

Although it is believed that nothing is broken, Lawson has received bruising and is having X-rays to ensure that no further damage has been done.

Ben Wilson will take Lawson''s place at reserve at Wimborne Road on Wednesday, and with the British Under-21 Champion racing for Sheffield 24 hours later No.8 Lee Smethills comes in for the trip to Peterborough.

Poole themselves are not at full strength for the Elite League clash as Polish star Krzysztof Kasprzak is out with a broken collarbone.

The Pirates will operate the rider replacement facility in his absence, with Wolves travelling to Dorset looking to become the first team this season to snatch an away win. Even if they cannot manage that, they hold an eleven-point lead for the aggregate bonus point after a 52-41 win at Monmore Green earlier in the month.

POOLE: Bjarne Pedersen, Craig Boyce, Greg Walasek, Antonio Lindback, r/r Krzysztof Kasprzak, Jonas Davidsson, Daniel Davidsson.

WOLVES: Peter Karlsson, Magnus Karlsson, Ronnie Correy, Fredrik Lindgren, Billy Hamill, Ben Wilson, Christian Hefenbrock.
